One of my current projects, Rise of the Dark Son is a hard science fiction novel by Erin Durante, author of the Damewood Trilogy, set in a post-apocalyptic medieval-style world.

After detonating the bomb that destroyed the Ordi’s labs, halting the creation of their engineered army, Nadia and Vestro embark on their own mission to return home to Damewood and gain the support of its army while King Andrew of the Pearl Isles readies his kingdom for the coming war against Krill.
But the moment of peace before the storm is broken when Nadia’s young child is kidnapped, and in return for the boy’s safety she is forced to betray her allies and the kingdoms she swore to defend.
About the Author
Erin Durante has several short stories appearing in small fiction magazines and print anthologies. Before focusing her career on writing, Erin worked as a freelance airbrush artist, touching up bad paint jobs on lifted trucks and decorating kids rooms with murals of dinosaurs and fairytale kingdoms.
She lives in San Diego, California.
